Winter Market

What? TERRA Greenhouse's Winter Market hosts over 50 local vendors who sell and promote locally produced food, food products and handcrafted items

When? Saturday February 14; 10am - 3 pm

Where? TERRA Greenhouse (12800 Britannia Road Milton, ON)

Why? Because it benefits the community, local farmers and businesses, as well as your soul.

 

FREE Presentation of Despicable Me 2

What? Indira Naidoo-Haris (MPP of Halton) is hosting a free screening of Despicable Me 2

When? Saturday February 14; Doors open at 930am and film starts at 10am

Where? Galaxy Cinemas (1175 Maple Ave, Milton ON)

Why? Because the minions are hilarious.

 

Snowflakes and Snowsnakes

What? Snowshoe or ski the rails, gather around a toasty fire to roast marshmallows and hot dogs; Watch the Race of the Snowsnake video and then try the traditional First Nations sport; Bird feeder-making and a winter discovery hunt will round out the activities

Why?  Because it's the great outdoors. 

 

Tales by a Winter’s Fire and Raptors in Focus

What? Enjoy puppet shows, horse-drawn rides, live animal encounters and raptor presentations

When? Saturday February 14, Sunday February 15, Monday February 16; 10am to 4pm

Where? Mountsberg (2259 Milburough Line, Campbellville ON)

Why? Because nature is refreshing.

 

Sunset Snowshoe Hike

What? A family-friendly introduction into snowshoeing, staff take participants along the trail to look for wildlife tracks and signs,play games as the sun sets over the winter landscape, enjoy campfire afterwards

When? Saturday February 14; 4pm to 6pm

Where? Crawford Lake (2596 Britannia Road West Campbellville, ON)

Why? Because I still want to learn how to snowshoe. 

 

The Optimist Club of Milton Valentines Dance

What? Fun night of Dancing to the music of Rockin Rob DJ Services and Entertainment. 

When? Saturday February 14; 8pm to midnight

Where? Milton Public Library - Main Branch (1010 Main St. E, Milton ON)

Why? Because it's Valentines Day.

 

Veterans of SNL: Rob Schneider and Jon Lovitz

What? An evening of side-splitting comedy with the stars of NBC’s Emmy Award-winning showcase, Saturday Night Live.

Why? Because these comedians are legendary.

 

Snowshoe Pajama Night

What? Take a guided hike and then explore the longhouse, make crafts and enjoy snacks and storytelling around a fire

When? Sunday February 15; 4pm to 6pm or 630pm to 830pm

Where? Crawford Lake (2596 Britannia Road West Campbellville, ON)

Why? Because there's nothing like the smell of a campfire at night.

What? The Grand Seduction

When? Monday February 16; 10am - 2pm

Where? Milton Historical Society Waldie Black-Smith Shop (16 James Street, Milton, ON 

Why? Because our heritage matters.

 

The Mattamy National Cycling Centre Community Opening Celebration

What? Track cycling demos and family sports/fitness classes for all ages; Watch the opening ceremonies at 11:00 am with Mayor Gordon Krantz

When? Monday February 16; 10am - 2pm

Where? Velodrome (Pan Am Blvd, Milton, ON)

Why? Because the first 1,000 people get a FREE water bottle.

  

Family Day Music Marathon 

What? See and hear the wonderful talent of the Milton Philharmonic Orchestra 

When? Monday February 16; 10am to 8pm

Where? St. Paul’s United Church (123 Main Street E., Milton, ON)

Why? Because they're out to set a record for the number of individual, unique instruments they can have play at the marathon. 

 

Family Day Activities

What? Free swimming, skating, sports, and more

When? Monday February 16; Starting at 9am

Where? Various Town of Milton facilities (see schedule via the link)

Why? Because fitness is fun especially on Family Day
